SquareTrade Now Offering 3 Year Warranty on eBay Items

We’ve covered SquareTrade in the past over on PhoneNews.com. They are a popular third-party warranty provider, and they have historically worked with eBay to be their direct third-party warranty provider.

However, SquareTrade warranties for refurbished and eBay purchases have been shorter than the standard SquareTrade policy (for an item purchased at retail), two years instead of the standard three.

Now, SquareTrade is offering the ability to pay a bit more, and extend coverage out to the third year. At the bottom of the checkout page, you can check a box to add a third year of warranty protection. The price appears to vary based on the cost of the item. For example, a $39.99 SquareTrade 2 year warranty (for an item purchased off of eBay) would cost $59.99.

Still not offered however, is Accidental Damage Protection. That is only offered on items purchased at a retail store.
